The CARE Center has a Family Food Pantry that serves the neighbors within the service area of New Hope, Owens Cross Roads, Brownsboro, and Gurley. The Food Pantry is open every Monday and 2nd Saturday of each month from 9 am to 12 pm. Families may visit the Food Pantry every (30) days. Requirements: ID, proof of residence within the service area (mail within the last 60 days), and proof of income for the household (if applicable).

FOODLine food ministry coordinates among 15-20 local food pantries to provide short-term, emergency relief to families with immediate food needs. Families are eligible for help twice in a 12-month period with FOODLine telephone volunteers operating as a clearing house between local callers in need and area food pantries. STUDIO 60 Senior Center

MEALS ON WHEELS

Meals on Wheels provides one nutritious meal Monday-Friday, year round (some holidays excluded). Volunteers deliver meals to the client's home between 11:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. There is no charge, but a donation based on income is suggested. Menus are planned by a Registered Dietitian. We cannot offer special diet meals. Our program delivers within the Huntsville city limits. Criteria to receive meals are: * Age 60 or over. * Primarily homebound. * Unable to cook for self because of health reasons. * No one living with you to cook for you. * Living in Huntsville city limits. If outside city limits, contact one of the county nutrition centers. Note – Income is not a factor. In addition to STUDIO 60 (Thomas W. Davidson) Senior Center on Drake Avenue, STUDIO 60 manages seven other nutrition programs serving seniors throughout Madison County. These neighborhood locations make it possible for seniors to have a hot, nutritious lunch at a center not far from home. Most of the centers offer games, crafts, and classes. The Salvation Army Soup Kitchen is located at 305 Seminole Dr. and serves 3 meals a day Monday through Friday. On Saturday, Sunday, and some major holidays 2 meals a day are served. On 3 meal service days Breakfast is served from 5:45am to 6:30am, Lunch is served from 12:00pm to 1:00pm, and Supper is served from 5:20pm to 6:30pm. On 2 meal service days Breakfast is served at 5:45am to 6:30am and Dinner is served from 2:00pm to 4:00pm.
