Non-profit
Autism Clinic

Our Autism Clinic provides diagnostic evaluations for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). We see children ages 2 to 5 years old, to evaluate social and emotional development, communication, thinking and problem-solving ability, adaptive skills and behavior. Autism evaluations can be initiated by parents or through a referral from your child's pediatrician. The Autism Clinic can determine if your insurance covers the evaluation prior to scheduling an assessment. The Arc worked with professionals to create a best practice diagnostic clinic. The clinic was established to fill a need in our community for low income children and families who did not have resources to get a diagnoses for their child. This diagnosis helps to open up many new services for these kids. In October of 2022, The Arc became a provider for the state autism waiver. While there are still services that can be provided under this waiver, our program will start providing in-home educational services to parents of children with autism. In the future, additional services will be added.

CASE COORDINATION & MANAGEMENT

We provide psycho-education and case management of human services. We begin this process with a mental health assessment, that leads with an individualized strength-based inventory and an evidence based mental status evaluation. This assessment focuses on the identification of strengths and weaknesses; the identification of familial, criminal and substance use history and asks the question of "how can we help". The instrument provides the counselor and case manager with the opportunity to identify gaps in services and management of those resources deemed necessary as most beneficial for the individual. In turn, this process offers the individual a structured treatment plan and process and coordinated support. Housing, individual counseling sessions, coupled with bi-weekly groups and individual life skill classes are also a part of the individuals coordinated treatment process.
